Candidates must be able to provide technical assistance with the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of a variety of information systems and related services present in our offices. The Sys Admin Office Engineer handles the technical work necessary to support colleagues in their daily activities and business directions to run business platforms like ERP and CRM systems.
Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users or business directions may encounter
Manage the setup, configuration and operation of client-based and server-based hardware and (virtualized) environments with unix or microsoft operating systems
Monitor the systems daily and respond immediately to security or business concerns
Create and verify backups of databases and/or machines
Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
Developing procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, force major events and user abuse
Interact with external vendors when required for maintaining current services or developing new projects that require integration with external platforms
Guide the design and implementation of helpdesk activities automation that will be adopted by helpdesk colleagues allowing more efficiency in their daily activities
Being constantly up-to-date with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommends ways to take advantage of new technology
3+ years System Administration in a fast, dynamic and highly demanding work environment
Experience (including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, tuning) with common Linux distributions and Windows servers family
Proven hands-on network engineering experience
Understanding of most common networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS, TCP, UDP)
Experience with Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management and Request Management
Ability to work with minimal supervision, making decisions based upon priorities, schedules and an understanding of business needs
Ability to effectively interact in English with colleagues and suppliers
